Laboratory of Theoretical Physics
The Laboratory of Theoretical Physics (LTP) is a
research group of the University
of Puerto Rico, sheltering
theoretical physicists among the
various campuses of the University, with common research interests
in the areas of:
- Quantum Field Theory
- High Energy Physics
- General Relativity
- Astrophysics
- Statistical and Plasma Physics
Research at the LTP currently involves five scientists
from the University of Puerto Rico (Río Piedras and Humaco campuses),
with collaborators from several countries including Mexico, India,
England and Canada.
LTP is especially concerned with the progress
of theoretical physics research in our institution, its
impact in the education of our physics students, and its
influence on the advancement of science in general,
and physics in particular, in Puerto Rico.
