"Shiroisa Project"
The Shiroisa Ikeda Project is an education project in Astronomy at the Department of Physics, UPR. Our goal is to provide students from our department and others, the opportunity to learn about astronomy by using a radio telescope.

The Shiroisa Ikeda Project is an educational project that is not related to any religious or political group. The name was proposed by one of our students.
Among the systems we are using is the radio telescope designed by NASA called Radio Jove. This is a kit that consists of a 20 MHz receiver and uses a double dipole antenna. At this frequency it is possible to make observations of radio emissions from Jupiter and the Sun.
